Academic Works and Musical Research
This volume deals with topics related to the main physical-acoustic characteristics of sounds; starting from the origins of acoustics in Ancient Greece, up to our current concert halls, the different mechanisms of sound production in various types of musical instruments and in the human voice are highlighted, as well as the main phenomena of wave propagation in different environments, up to the way in which human beings perceive and translate the sounds that reach our ears. The various topics covered are not based on difficult mathematical equations and/or complex physical architectures, which would probably be incomprehensible to most, but intend to offer explanations accessible to all in order to acquire useful and practical awareness.
